Son of Henry John and Clare, Grace Wood of East Kew, Victoria, Australia. He was the husband of Elizabeth Wood also of East Kew. He had successfully completed his initial training at 27 O.T.U. R.A.F. Lichfield and then joined 460 Squadron. He sadly died aged 29 in 460 Squadron Accident. He is buried in the Churchyard at St. Stephens Church in Fradley. (Row 5, Grave 1) (Plot 256) along with the other three crew men on this flight. There were also two ground crew killed on this flight, who were sent to their home towns for burial.
