Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Mary Rogerson, of Richmond, Victoria, Australia. He died on Saturday the 17th of January 1942, aged 27, during a training exercise. They were practising night bombing when the weather got really bad. The bombers compass failed and they were lost. The plane crashed into a wood 2 miles south of Eccles farm and 5 miles away from Lichfield. All of the crew were killed, in Training Accident 7. Joseph is buried with his fellow Australians in St. Stephens Churchyard, Fradley. (Row 4, Grave 4) (Plot 264)
