Son of Charlie and Daisy Alice Hewitt, of Toowong, Queensland, Australia. He was a navigator who died on Thursday 15th of April 1943, aged 21. He was ready to take off, but had forgotten his paperwork and got out to get it. Sadly, he walked straight into the propellor of the aircraft and was killed instantly. Many people believe that his ghost haunts the airfield. He is buried in St. Stephens Churchyard. (Row 7, Grave 3) (Plot 247)
