DETAILS OF ACCIDENT
Bristol Beaufighter (R2089) of 51 Maintence Unit crashed on take-off into a wooden accommodation hut. Many others belonging to 51MU were seriously injured. The official findings stated that both engines cut out after take-off due to fuel problems.
